About Me

Hi Everyone!

I conduct life skill coaching for students, teachers & parents through group programs and individual sessions. I am attached to corporate houses where I run the Employee Assistance Program. I am empaneled with 2 hospitals in Thane, Mumbai. I am a member of the Child Protection Committee for handling cases related to the POCSO Act. I have the experience of working with the Juvenile in the Correction home for the Thane District. I am a member of the Internal Compliance Committee for handling cases related to the POSH Act. I provide therapeutic support to individuals which include AEP (Adolescent Engagement Programme) which includes perspective building on life skill development, social skills management, value education programs to name a few which will, in turn, help them to deal with a wide range of issues.

Behavioral intervention for younger children and parenting issues is another major area that I work on.

I help students deal with dysfunctional thinking which leads to dysfunctional emotions or behaviors.

I have been working with parents and children with Specific Learning Difficulties in the capacity of a Special Education Needs Teacher where I have designed and executed IEPs (Individualized Education Program) for students with special needs. As a support mechanism and for the sustainability of the project I offer periodic sessions to parents helping them understand the teaching mechanism and helping them deal with the specific issues with the child. I have been engaged in training Teachers with regard to identifying Specific Learning Difficulties.

I have been in this profession for more than a decade providing therapeutic support to individuals. The intervention is towards helping people feel better equipped and motivated to engage in long-lasting healthy behavioral patterns that offshoot from healthy thought processes.

 

The entire Life skills training will be directed towards Personal development, Emotional development and Social development. This learning area includes the development of

  1. self-concept,
  2. behavior modification, and
  3. meaningful interaction with others.

The components of this learning area are the ability to interact with adults and peers, express feelings and emotions without fear, develop self-awareness and demonstrate self-control, regulation, and coping strategies.
