About Me

I am a Hindustani Classical Vocalist. I am a recipient of the National Scholarship in Hindustani Classical Vocal since 2014 from the Centre for Cultural Resource and Training (under Ministry of Culture, India). I have learnt Hindustani Classical Vocal from my Guru Pandit Jayanta Sarkar and Sri Sreejan Chatterjee. I have been trained for Voice Training also. Apart from Hindustani Classical Vocal, I have learnt Najrul Sangget from Smt. Ruby Roy. I teach students interested in learning Hindustani Classical vocals from the beginners level.

Hindustani Vocal music is the classical music of Northern India. Hindustani classical music is a solitary pursuit that focuses mainly on melodic development. Hindustani Classical Vocals are also referred to as Shastriya Sangeet.

Classes will be on Hindustani Classical Vocal with Voice Training. The content will vary depending upon the base or maturity of the student. I will teach  Swar Parichay, Taal Parichay, Paltaas, Thaatas and Raagas.

Learning Goals: The Student will gain control on Sur (Tunes), Taal (Rhythms), Practice to Vocal Exercises for better tonal quality and Learn Indian Classical Raagas.
