Upcoming classes with Classbuk are updated on your Google Calendar with applicable Zoom links. Classbuk creates class Zoom meeting links including scheduling on your Google calendar. We use paid licenses that do not have a 40 mins limit so that you can take the classes smoothly. Please click for your Google calendar view.  Watch this video for instructions to join.  Please ensure to check your Google calendar invites from Classbuk and advise if any changes are needed. Track and join each class a few minutes in advance.  Google Calendar events are scheduled for additional days beyond paid sessions as a buffer.

In case you wish to add any email id to the Google calendar invite, please instruct us to do so. Students can log in to Google Calendar via their own email id and join the Zoom link by clicking the link in the class invite directly via their own Google Calendar account https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/r So parents need not share the class link every time 🙂 Classbuk may / may not make calls to parents for reminders to join the class as invites via Google calendars OR messages are sent already.

        2 Class Reminders will be sent on the WhatsApp group as an additional service on a best-effort basis. The absence of a reminder does not mean the class has been cancelled. There have had instances of WhatsApp being down also. Classbuk is not responsible for any third-party systems. In case of doubt eg google Calendar is not updated or a WhatsApp message has not been received/delivered due to any reason, please reach out to the Classbuk Support team. 
         3 Classes are fixed as per IST time zones basis. In case of a need for time changes overseas due to daylight savings, parents are required to give advance intimation of the time change request and schedule classes as per the mutual availability of the teacher. In the absence of any intimation, the classes will continue as per the IST time fixed.

Keep the Zoom account logged into the student’s device with the student’s first name with screen share permission enabled. Note: On macOS 10.15 Catalina, you need to allow Zoom access to screen recording to share your screen. You can do this in your System Preferences. Select the Security & Privacy option, click the Privacy tab, scroll down to Screen Recording, and finally check the option for zoom.us.

Please change the zoom display to the first name of the learner. How to update your Zoom display name permanently

         5 Please avoid students eating or taking the classes in improper posture ( eg laying down)  during the class
         6 Please keep the video on for students for the entire duration of the class. Teachers are also mandated to keep their videos on at all times. Please escalate to Classbuk if you find a teacher keeping their video off. 
         7 The sessions will be recorded by Classbuk for quality and monitoring purposes. 
         8 Prices and slots are assured for only paid sessions.
         9 Renewal payments are due before the last of the paid sessions to ensure renewal blocking.
       10 Exchange of personal information ( full name, email id. phone, social media page, etc ) or fees, etc directly or indirectly between teacher and parent/student is prohibited. If the teacher shares any such personal info or prices, parents are requested to immediately inform Classbuk.
         11 For group classes, missed classes are counted as regular classes. Make-up classes for such students in a group class will be taken on a best-effort basis. 
       12 For private lessons, parents should inform Classbuk at least 24 hours in advance of any class rescheduling/cancellation requests unless it is not possible due to medical emergencies.  Requests with less than 24 hrs’ notice will be counted as a regular class leading to a loss of class for parents. Class cancellations and rescheduling leads to loss of earnings for our teachers and should be kept to a minimum even if informed well in advance. Given that we are serving multiple countries, scheduled classes continue to be conducted irrespective of public holidays or festivals unless expressly cancelled much in advance.
       13 Short notice class cancellations lead to a loss of earnings for teachers and add a lot of effort to reschedule classes.
However, we understand that sometimes class cancellations are unavoidable due to children being sick/unwell to take classes and 24 hrs advance intimation is not feasible. In case of  children being unwell, parents should inform as early as possible. Last minute intimation of class cancellation even on account of sick / unwell may be counted as a regular class unless there is sufficient reason to do so. In such cases, parents can reschedule classes up to 2 times a month on health grounds at shorter than 24 hrs’ notice but it should not be misused.   There is no limit to the count of rescheduling of classes where a doctor or hospital visit is required upon submission of a doctor’s prescription. 
      14 Any rescheduling and class cancellation requests should be kept to a minimum unless for emergency reasons. Rescheduled / Makeup classes should be taken within the same week. If make-up classes are not feasible within the same week, they should be taken within the same month. If make up class is not feasible within the same month also, the class credits will be carried forward.
      15 Parents should inform Classbuk directly in case of any class reschedules / cancellations even though agreed with the teacher directly during a class. The teacher concerned should also be requested by the parent to inform Classbuk.
This is to ensure Classbuk can match the requests & manage the changes without any communication gap.
      16 In case of a delay in joining the class by a student, the teacher is entitled to take the class for the balance scheduled duration. Further, if a student has left a class early ( except on emergency health grounds), the teacher is not mandated to provide make-up for the missed time in the subsequent classes. 
      17 If your learner has not joined the meeting 10 minutes after the class’s start time, the teacher is entitled to leave the meeting. Such a class may be counted as a regular paid class. Classbuk will not be responsible for calling parents for joining the class.
     18 For any technical issues, parents are requested to message the Classbuk Class WhatsApp group.  In case of urgent issues like a teacher not joining etc, please message us on the WhatsApp group. In case your message has not been read or responded to immediately, please feel free to call us to ensure the issue is addressed immediately.
     19 The classes may be required to be extended at times by the teacher as needed by students,  more than the regular time duration of the class. Fees will be payable for an extended duration on a proportionate basis after seeking your approval. 
     20  Parents are given access to Google Classroom for update of classwork, updates of progress reports, minutes of PTM discussions and exchange of home assignments where they can track assignment submissions  Please review Google Classroom regularly.

     21 Teachers are required to arrange PTMs after every 8 sessions directly with parents. Please be available for regular Parent Teacher Meetings ( PTMs) and advice Classbuk if there are any open issues. PTMs are conducted during one of the classes.
     22 Kindly share regular feedback on the teacher and ongoing classes to serve you better.

    Extra Tip: 

    Students may be using their laptop cameras to show their physical classwork to teachers during online classes if they are not using Zoom-integrated whiteboard.
    We recommend setting up an additional device using a mobile stand to focus on the notepad on which your child may be physically writing enabling online teachers to see and guide students in real-time when he/she is writing.
