About Me
Hi everyone! I’m an English and Film Studies teacher with 18 years experience teaching both online and in the classroom. I offer classes in English Language and Literature as well as Film Studies. I also offer semester/term based lessons in English focusing on novels, poetry and plays as well as developing essential writing skills to help with essays and correct grammar. On top of this I offer book clubs and film clubs! Busy!
My background consists of teaching English and Film in the UK in both England and Wales for ages 11-18. I have helped many hundreds of pupils achieve their goals both personally and in their exams. I am also an examiner so I know exactly what it takes to help students from all backgrounds and all abilities to succeed.
My philosophy is that learning should never stop and I always aim to instil a passion for curiosity and life long learning amongst my students. My passion for literature, language and film always shines through in my teaching and this is why I teach!
Outside of teaching I love to spend time with my wife and three daughters, exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside on bike rides, reading great books, going to the movies, music gigs and festivals and playing many sports!
