About Me

I am a Jolly Phonics certified teacher and a Montessorian with over a decade of experience in teaching English as a language to young children. I specialize in spellings, pronunciation, reading, writing and grammar.

My love and passion to be with young children propelled me to educate myself in the field of Montessori philosophy. I further enhanced my learning with a certification from Jolly Phonics UK in order to specialize in the field of Phonics.

I have been running my offline/classroom setup teaching for over 7 years now. My USP has always been in keeping small batch sizes in order to understand the requirement of each child and work as a team with the parent for the development of the child.

This year my experience with online teaching has also been remarkable. Keeping the children engaged in a virtual classroom is definitely a difficult task. I believe in conducting my classes in a fun filled way which usually includes learning along with games/exercises/story time etc. This jolly learning method drives my children to look forward to their classes with interest and excitement.

Jolly Phonics and Grammar class

For younger ages 3.5-4.5 we will have only 25 letter sounds taught with reading.

  • 25 basic sounds
  • Vocabulary building

Jolly Phonics and Grammar class for 4.5 - 6.5 years

For ages 4.5 to 6.5  I will teach them the 42 sounds with reading, writing, reading books, writing sentences, paragraphs, comprehension ages 6 and above will have alternate spellings and grammar concepts
All classes will have some exercise session and games to keep the class entertaining and interesting

Kids will become comfortable with reading books and also writing words with ease. They will also be able to make short sentences and become familiar with short topic writing.
